Osmo Oil Stain

Osmo Oil Stain can be applied as a colored base coat for all wood furniture and joinery, wood flooring, strip parquet, cork, terracotta and other non-glazed natural ceramic tile.

One coat gives you a transparent finish to highlight the wood’s natural beauty; a second coat will result in a more intensive opaque color finish. Then top it off with a final coat of Polyx-Oil to protect the color.

The Natural shade can be used to protect the wood from the amberizing (darkening) effect of penetrating oils on light-colored wood over time.

Osmo Oil Stain can also be used as a tinting agent for Polyx (up to a maximum of 10% of the Polyx volume) – just mix it in.

Either way, you’ll end up with a microporous, breathable finish that doesn’t crack or flake and is resistant to beverage stains (coffee, tea, juice, cola, etc.) stains and scuffs.

The finish is also easy to maintain and patch repair if required (no sanding needed for spot
repairs or future applications!). Osmo Oil Stains are based on natural plant oils (sunflower oil, soya oil and thistle oil) with pigments, drying agents and benzene-free dearomatized white spirit. When dry, Osmo Oil Stain is suitable for children’s toys and safe for humans, animals and plants when dry.
