The Morakniv Scout 39 is a great outdoor, camping and whittling knife with particular safety features that make it ideal for young people learning knife skills.

The Scout arrives super-sharp, but it has a blunt safety tip and a double finger guard that keeps inexperienced hands in the right position. Pocket knives can fold in and pinch fingers but the Scout won’t, and its sturdy sheath offers further protection against injuries and unintended mischief (in addition to a cool pirate cutlass-looking shape). The knife has an ergonomic 3 ½” handle that is designed for smaller hands.

The Scout’s stainless steel offers more protection from the elements (corrosion and oxidation) than carbon steels, encouraging its use for a variety of camping, marine and other outdoor uses.
