Festool CT 36 E AC Dust Extractor W/ AutoClean And Accessories

The 2020 version of the CT 36AC has been upgraded to make this vacuum even more functional. Sanding drywall has a reputation for being a very dusty task. The small particle size created when sanding drywall and joint compound can clog normal vacuums – but not the Festool CT 36AC dust extractor. Designed especially for drywall finishing, the CT 36AC is a special purpose dust extractor built to meet the demands of drywall professionals, and especially for use with the Festool Planex drywall sander – which is available separately. The auto-start feature turns the vacuum on when you start your sander, so you always have dust collection where and when you need.

The Auto-Clean feature momentarily reverses the internal air flow within the dust extractor to keep the filter clean, and maintain even suction. It does so without the need to stop working. The new CT 36 AC has a filter that has been rigorously rigorously tested to meet HEPA specifications while also meeting the durability requirements of the Autoclean function.

You can also use this vac as a regular dust extractor with routers, track saws and other tools by turning the Autoclean function off. Like all Festool dust extractors the 36AC has a low center of gravity, large wheels, a centered handle for easy carrying, and comes standard with a 36mm anti-static hose.

This vacuum is recommended for use with the Planex drywall sanding system (see link below) and isn’t generally needed for normal sanding. It’s built to the same standards as all of Festool’s dust extractors, and has the same 3 year warranty and support.
